RISE Program
Our RISE (Recreational, Individualized, Social, and Educational) Program is a weekly small group program for adults with intellectual and/or developmental differences. Each participant's program is tailored to their strengths and interests, with goat care and nature-based activities as the foundation for learning, connection, and growth. Our goats are affectionate, funny, and interested in the people they meet, helping to create a unique and engaging environment.
Sessions may include preparing meals for the goats, barn care, brushing and observing the animals, guided conversation, and gardening. For many participants, spending time with our goats and each other creates a genuine sense of connection and accomplishment. These weekly sessions are facilitated by Anishe and co-facilitated by Missy.
Ages: 18-28
Days: Tuesdays
Time: 10:00am-10:45am or 2:30pm-3:15pm
Group size: 4 max
Rate: $160 for 4-week series. Initial trial visit $40. DDS approved for self-directed programs.
Animal-Assisted Therapeutic Sessions for Adults
Our individualized sessions for adults with intellectual and developmental differences offer meaningful time with our friendly goats, tailored to each person’s strengths and interests. Sessions may include goat care, gardening and sensory experiences. Spending time with our affectionate and curious goats fosters confidence and connection. These weekly sessions are facilitated by Anishe and may be co-facilitated by Missy.
Rate: $75 per 45 minute session. DDS-approved for self-directed programs.
Customized Programs and Visits
Groups and individuals looking for a more personalized experience with our goats are welcome to contact us for customized visits or programs. Tailored to participants’ goals, interests, and preferences, visits may include goat care activities such as feeding and brushing, sensory and tactile experiences, nature-based projects, goat-themed educational games and gardening.
Rates vary depending on the structure and duration of the visit.
Visits are scheduled by appointment.
